Like they say in the article, it's Mr. Gura's case to lose. And he's a very experienced lawyer when it comes to arguing in front of SCOTUS. He still has the same 5 judge majority that ruled in his favor on Heller, so hopefully he can keep up the momentum. This case has a lot of broader implications beyond firearms law, however. It could potentially affect several other State's rights issues, including taxation, abortion, drug policy, and several others, not all in a positive manner. Essentially, if Gura wins, there is a potential power shift further away from the States to the Federal Government, so it could be a mixed blessing....
