I forget his name, but he is mentioned in the book Unintended Consequences I believe.

Someone on another board was reading the book and posted up a short list of events to look into, and a few links (not wikipedia) on Ruby Ridge and Waco. I don't remember the links though, so didn't mention them. I think the deal with the guy was that he had some dummy grenades in his apartment and some kid saw them and the police got called. That's all I remember though.

EDIT: Here it is. Ken Ballew. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ken_Ballew_raid

There is allot of interesting stuff floating around about the stories I am hoping some of the folks on here that were around when it happened will chime in I just think allot of strange things that went on in these incidents that were not published like my mother said about the tank.

What about the more recent raids in TX with the Mormons? I'm no Mo and don't condone the kind of stuff that these FLDS Mo's do/did but still???? This stuff is still going on today. Our rights are rapidly deteriorating. If your different and march to a different tune then expect trouble one day is what this type of stuff tells me. I remember Waco!

Get a copy of the Senate hearings on it and read them. It's a good starting place. I know where they are in the Auroria Campus and the next time I'm in there, I'll write down the reference number off of it for you and post it.

Unintended Concenquences is a good book of fiction. There is artistic license all over in it.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.

I was waiting for you to chime in SA, but I know that you aren't allowed to say anything about any FBI related cases.

I can actually say a lot, really. It's only ongoing criminal cases that are not open information. Closed cases are essentially public record and fall under the guidelines of FOIA.

I have read a little about the case, but not enough to determine the truth of the matter.

OK. I have to swing by the library next week anyway. Ironically, I found the transcripts when I was looking for the senate hearings on The Human Genome project for a research paper. They just happened to be right there in the same area.
