I would like to see the open carry movement succeed. The public would get used to seeing guns and become accustomed to them. CCW is fine but when you don't see guns it makes them 'scary' to the public.

So do you open carry everyday?
What do with your firearm when you are out and about and have to visit somewhere that doesn't allow OC?
There are a lot more places that don't allow OC than don't allow CCW.
And your point is...I'm still not getting a CCW. I'm NOT paying for the right I already have.
I spent my Obama Stimulus money on a GUN!
Almost none of them are a place that you NEED to go though. There is a park near my house that doesn't allow open carry. Pretty easy to avoid.
I think it has something to do with there not being any laws about open carry. A few people on here have explained it to me before, but I can't verbalize it at the moment.
I wish more people would open carry. I open carry a lot when I'm by myself or with friends. When I'm with the family, I carry concealed. It makes my wife feel better. I have been open carrying for about a year now. I have only had one instance where I was questioned. That was by a Walmart greeter! Go figure.![]()
