Travel for Obama

I was at a Blockbusters renting videos, and as I was going along the wall, there was a video called "Obama". There were two men next to me. We talked about Obama. These guys were Arabs and I asked them why they thought Michele Obama headed home following her visit in France instead of traveling on to Saudi Arabia and Turkey with her husband. They told me she couldn't go to Saudi Arabia , Turkey or Iraq . I said "Laura Bush went to Saudi Arabia , Turkey and Dubai ."




They said that Obama is a Muslim, and by Muslim law he would not be allowed to bring his wife into countries that accept Sharia Law. I just thought it was interesting that two Arabs at Blockbusters accept the idea that we're being led by a Muslim who follows the Islamic creed.

They also said that's the reason he bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia . It was a signal to the Muslim world..

Just thought you would like to know.

When I received this it made sense to me, but there were also a couple blank spots. Thus, I sent it to a friend who is a Middle Eastern Scholar and expert, Dr.. Jim Murk. Here is his explanation that states a little clearer what the Arabs at Blockbuster were saying..

I have thought about this before and believed him to be muslim from the beginning. He just won't come out a say it. probably would have lost him the election.
I don't care what his religion is, he sucks as president, he doesn't listen to the people and needs to step down from office.

I think it would have affected the elections enough for him to lose. The rabid democrats would probably have voted for him anyway, but the moderate ones and independents wouldn't have. He's far worse than Hillary would have been. And I can't wait to see him out of office.

What a load of crap. Feel free not to like Obama and the eeevil Muslims all you want, but base it on facts, and apply a bullshit filter to anything that gets passed to you via email. Sheer gullibility, even if you *want* to believe something, is not a positive character trait.

Let's have a look at The List of Presidential Trips Made By Barack Obama - do a search for Saudi Arabia. The first visit so far is after this email started going around, and the France portion of the trip was after, not before. He hasn't gone to Turkey and SA in the same trip.

Yes, your wife (whether or not she's a Muslim, and whether or not you are a Muslim) can visit countries with Sharia law with you. Depending on the country, Sharia law may not even apply to non-Muslims. That said, she probably wouldn't be invited to the actual diplomatic discussions themselves, but that hardly seems out of place. Non-diplomats don't belong there, do they?

Yes, he bows a lot to people, even those who aren't Muslim, nor apparently leaders of countries. It's pretty weird. It doesn't make him a Muslim nor suggest any special knowledge of "Muslim protocol". He's not (IMHO) an effective or useful President, but let's at least stick to facts when making that judgment.
