No long distances.....yet. The owner of the ranch is putting together a spot that will have maybe 300 yards. It is not with the regular stage location so you will have to drive over to it. I might be able to incorprate it into a future match.
As far as the round count goes, bring 75 rifle, 150 pistol, 3 boxes of regular shotgun shells ( birdshot ) and about 5 slugs. You will most likely bring some home with you.
I am interested in trying a 3 gun for the first time, however, I can't make it next weekend. Will there be more matches this year?
ETA: Just did some more digging on the website and saw there is one on October 22 for sure.

We do run this match april through October on the 4th saturday of each month. We do have a couple of exception coming up due to some scheduling conflicts. The August match will be on the 20th ( 3rd saturday ) and the September match will be on the 17th ( 3rd saturday ) ....I think. The september match will be the 3rd annual MLC Tactical 3-gun championship. The October match should be back to normal on the 4th saturday.
Come on out and give it a try !

Hi Al my dad are coming to the shoot tomorrow and it will be our first time experiencing a 3 gun match. We just recently got our first AR and we have a pistol and shot guns (none of them being tactical) and i was considering signing up and competing but im not sure any advice?

It seems like I'm always jumping in front of Al on this thread but I feel like answering a question.
My first advice to anyone new is to just get together the gear you have, ammo for the guns you're missing, and go. You should at least have a gun belt, holster, and mag pouches for your pistol because those tend to be more unique and are a pain to share. If you have something to carry shotgun shells bring that but, at least speaking for myself, you can often get a loaner. A pouch for an extra rifle mag is good but a pocket will do you just fine for a while. You should bring a hat, sunscreen, and extra water as well.
Also, read the range rules on the web site and make sure you don't have any magnetic ammo. Other than that just pay attention to the safety briefing, be nice to people, and have a good time. You probably will.
And welcome to the forum.
Feel free to send me an e mail at 55fmj@comcast.net and I can answer ant questions that you may have. You should come on out and give it a try. It is a fun match with a great bunch of shooters there to help you out.
By the way, I just sent out the scores. Let me know if you did not get them or if you need them in a different format. Thanks to everyone who made it out. See you all next month !

Is MLC gonna be a tactical optic only match or are u allowing Open to shoot?
There is an Open category. Actually, most categories are allowed. There is open, tactical, limited, T55 ( over 55 )...and a womens.
