Only Wheel Gun in the arsenal. Ruger Blackhawk, hogue grips, insert in the front blade, 3 lb trigger job, and a custom done cylinder that tightend up the tolerances. She's my woods deer gun and camp bear medicine. Couple favorite loads for her, 325 grain cast lead w/gas checks and 23grns of H110 or 300 grain hornady xtp with 22.5 grains of H110. Flat out packs a punch but fun to shoot the way its set up.

This is the quietest gun / silencer setup I own. The suppressor is sized for a submachine gun. I gotta get a 9mm handgun suppressor.

Seems the revolver fever is going around here on the forums lately. Thought I would bring this thread back to the top and toss up a picture of my 686.

My 686. Maybe the most accurate handgun I own. Maybe.

Since we're talking 686s, here's mine from mid '81, no dash, my dad bought it new, I inherited it when he passed, both my sons learned to shoot handguns with it.

    Default S&W 586-1

Well, as much as I love sigs, I love revolvers more. The first revolver I handled outside of my dad's 6" model 28, was a 586 at gander mountain. I was 20, just found out I was deploying, and all I knew was that I wanted it. While deployed, my grail gun was constantly on my mind, but I never pulled the trigger. Instead I got a 4" model 28 to compliment the one my dad has as well.

I'm proud to say my search for the grail gun has ended. Introducing my 586-1. Click image for larger version.

She needs a set of wood grips, and a good wipe down, but the trigger has been worked over and is hands down the smoothest double action pull I've ever felt. Single action is like... Well..

I'll post the rest of the family tonight.
