Seriously though, I hae much of the same problem when planning very short trips through the wilderness, My large pack is a bit overkill. What is the USMC ITAK and is your poncho the military style. Is there room for that and a poncho liner?
The IFAK is an Individual First Aid Kit, comes with just about everything you would need in most situations, i've added a couple things to it. The poncho is just a cheap trash bag type from Wally World, nothing fancy as that would take up too much room, but it would keep you dry.
