Well, I got my permit today on day 100. To recap, I called to set up an appointment on June 11th and the earliest available was July 12th. I was finally issued on October 20th, 131 days from when I first started this process.

Also, to anyone in Denver, going down to the station on day 95 to pick it up before they send you the letter doesn't work; I tried it. Politely reminding them of the law just prompts them politely remind you they are short on resources.

Anyhow, that's all over! The wait was long but man am I ever glad to have it!

Glad you FINALLY got your permit. I'm sure if you were caught by DPD carrying concealed without a permit, they wouldn't take it so lightly. But it's okay for the city of Denver to break the law, by not issuing you your permit in the alloted time frame.

So what happens when they go over? Who slaps the SO on the wrist? You can lawyer up but it's going to cost you $$$ and nothing actually comes out of it. It pisses me off to no end. In Arizona, it's within a month, MAX. For me, five business days. The wife, 8 business days (she had recently changed her name). The law down there says 60 days (I think) and they never take that long.

ETA: I'm on day 66 in Arapahoe County, and from what I hear I'm not expecting to get it in 90 days.

I put in my app on 10-6-10. After hearing perch's story and being in Denver county I may be waiting 100+ days.
