Default Army drops bayonets, busts abs in training revamp

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_new_basic_training

"Most of these soldiers have never been in a fistfight or any kind of a physical confrontation. They are stunned when they get smacked in the face," said Capt. Scott Sewell, overseeing almost 190 trainees in their third week of training. "We are trying to get them to act, to think like warriors."

Hmmm,, I kind of considered the bayonet "Warrior" like.. I prefered it to The side straddle hop myself..

Of course, I was in an Armor unit that considered itself "The Bayonet Brigrade"... Never really was able to figure that one out..

Yeah.....how do you mount a bayonet to a tank? And more importantly, how do you do a bayonet charge that way?

BigBear, we military folks call that "Speed Tape" or "200 MPH tape". Please work on proper terminology. You know how military folks are big on that.......

We used it to emergency repair the radome (condom tip shaped nose) on a C-130 before, so 200mph is a little slow.
