Ginsue, sorry to hear of your troubles with CSPD. Sounds as if they are long on LEO and short on Peace Officers. Such behavior should not be tolerated. A short meeting with a commander to make known your concerns about the nieghborhood and how the representatives of the PD handle themselves might not be a bad idea. Done very tactfully as a good citizen of coarse. These days the LEO's seem to only be interested in making sure you understand thier position above you, the citizen. More Peace Officers are needed.

The BBQ idea is a good one. Also invite nieghbors who have issues with slimeballs who have created the strife in your nieghboehood.

Encourage nieghbors to open carry in the nieghborhood and soon it will be known that you folks are responsible law abiding citizens who are not to be trifled with.

Thanks for the input - it is well received and appreciated. I intend to try to get an audience with a commander and, if need be, write to or speak in person with the Chief (I doubt I'll be allowed to do that).

Around here we let our neighbors know when we're having a louder or larger party than usual. If you really want to have a big BBQ do it right. Invite your friendly neighbors, friends and us gun buddies. We'll show up if nothing else to show solidarity. The only problem with guns is we can't drink. So I suggest we leave the guns home.

On a more serious note, if this BBQ does happen. I'll be sure to bump all the cooking threads and demand that people prove how awesome their recipes are by bringing the dish they bragged so much about. Glad I never posted anything.

I can spend just as long as anyone ragging on the police, but getting a bunch of guys together to open carry with the idea that the police are going to show up sounds like a recipe for disaster to me.

Not exactly the situation we all want to have happen, better to have a party and get some guns cleaned and nothing happen.
