T/C Hawkens Kit Value??????

I have a chance to purchase a T/C Hawkens .50 build kit brand new in the box....the guy selling it dose not know what the value of it is and frankly I really dont either. Anyone have any insight as to how much I should pay for this kit?

The kits used to sell for $200-250 in the '80's when I built one. I would think they would still be worth that or more.

Cabelas sell Hawkin Kits, but I'm pretty sure they are not T/C for $400-450

The flintlock is worth more than the percussion.
