    Default Concealed Carry Badges?

so a friend was asking about these... and what is the actual purpose?

Is it more for Identification when asked or to look silly and identify yourself as carrying while in public... ?? I guess some states require this? But haven't been able to verify that...

I don't think anyone requires it.

This came up a few years ago on another site. Getting a badge like this is just a sure fire way to look like a douche bag and flirt with impersonating an officer.

Some people will say that if you clip this on your belt next to your gun, if anyone ever sees your gun, they're likely to see the badge and think you're a cop. Sounds like impersonating to me. It also opens you up to having people come to you for help with things you have no business in.

I say no way in hell should anyone wear one of those. That is my personal opinion on the issue.

Do you even have to prove that you have a CCW to order one?

    Exactly!

Some people will try to tell you that if someone sees your piece, then you can just flash your "badge" and everything will be groovy, but you could just as easily say "I'm a douche" and the end result would be the same.

    Fail on so many levels.

Why would you want to advertise that you are carrying? Giving away the advantage.

Why get in trouble for "impersonating a police officer"? Stupid...

LOL, I like to think of it as a "Criminal Charges Multiplier" just like that ad showing the guys having Glocks attached to the rails of their AR-15s. The ad says it is a "Force Multiplier." HAHA

    EDIT: Here it is http://store.a51tactical.com/index.p...roducts_id=949

    Love those tactical boots...
