Default Places to shoot near Grand Junction

I will be going to Grand Junction in a couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone knew where I could go and do some shooting. Don't really need anything long, 100 yrds or so would be fine.

    Thanks

    Default Grand junction Shooting

The most common area is SW of the airport, ther is a rifle range with benches etc. and a pistol range down the road. I normally go to the end of the road and set my own area up.
Give me a call when you head this way and maybe we can meet up and I'll take you out there.

Thanks for the info foxtrot! I will see if I can find one(or both) of the places while I am there. The wife will be in class all day Friday and Saturday, so I will have some free time to go and play. How far out of Grand Junction are these places?

    Thanks

I think I found the area's you are talking about. I looked on Google maps. Do you just drive to the end of the roads that you mentioned? Or before the end? Will it be apparent were to shoot from when I see it?

    Thanks

The Bookcliff ranges are marked with signs, as I recall. Rough and dusty road going there though.
