I went there today and they said they didn't have them there. CostCo on Wadsworth

Calories are king, especially in a stressful situation. This kit is marketed to people who think having one in the closet is all they have to do. Plus the fact that you had better have access to sufficient water (heat is optional) to reconstitute the food.

I think you're right - these same folks will have a case of bottled water for a family of 4 and call it good.

They want to believe in their naive' way that they are prepared for the worst.

It is not IF, it is definitely WHEN, this storm hits the fan. I hope MOST folks will see the writing on the wall. The more that do - the easier our (collective) fate. I do not hold much hope for those who stand blindly along the road.

There will be 2 types standing beside the road. Type 1 that just wants a hand out because they failed to prepare, and Type 2 that looks like thy just want a handout while they are actually just a distraction from the bandits setting the trap for you.

I have 2 20lb bags of rice. 242 calories per cup. I paid about $15 a bag. Rice can supplement alot of meals. All of Asia swears by it!

too bad u's all live in the city... we stock up just for regular life for 6 months, Costco 2 or 3x's a year. and then BAM.. grow some, kill the rest. Freeze, dry, whatever it takes.
