Congressman: 'I Don't Worry About the Constitution' on Health Care Overhaul

Confronted by an angry Tea Partier with a camera Thursday, an Illinois congressman said in front of several constituents at a town hall that he doesn't care whether the new health care law violates the Constitution, as some critics have claimed.

In a video posted on You Tube, Adam Sharp of the St. Louis Tea Party asked Rep. Phil Hare which part of the Constitution authorizes the government to mandate that all Americans buy a private product such as health insurance.

The Illinois Democrat replied, "I don't worry about the Constitution on this."

"Jackpot, brother," Sharp said.

Hare cringed in disgust and said, "Oh please. What I care more about, I care more about the people dying every day who don't have health care."

"You care more about that than the U.S. Constitution that you swore to uphold?" Sharp shouted back.

"I believe it says we have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness," Hare countered.

When an observer pointed out that those words come from the Declaration of Independence, Hare said, "Doesn't matter to me. Either one."

When Sharp pressed Hare to answer where in the Constitution government is granted the authority to mandate the purchase of health insurance, Hare said he didn't know.

"But at the end of the day, I want to bring insurance to every person that lives in this country," Hare said.

Sharp said the law won't do that.

The confrontation was the latest example of Democrats going off message in their sales pitch to Americans of the virtues of the controversial health care law.

This man just told the American people that he doesn't care that he has violated his oath of office - he needs to be removed from office immediately!

Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, said the health care law would address the "maldistribution of income in America."

The "maldistribution of wealth" is being "corrected" by the governmetns programs to provide for a "redistribution of wealth".

Let's see, Mark owns a big company that provides a product or service. To keep his company running and employing 200 people, Mark has to work more than 80 hours/week. Mark's family rarely gets to spend time with Mark. Mark has a HIGH income. He's earned it.

Steve works for Marks company in a necessary skilled labor position. Steve earns a nice salary, although not as nice as Mark's. Steve has earned was he receives.

Joey works in an un-skilled support position for Mark. While Joey works hard, he earns a decent salary, but he doesn't earn as much as Steve because his position doesn't require skills or an education like Steve's does. Joey earns what he brings in.

Tommie sits on the curb across the street from Mark's business. He dropped out of school at 15 years old and he doesn't have any interest in getting a regular job and "working for the man". Tommie is happy sucking off the hind tit of society, receiving government subsistence and hand-outs. Tommie has more free time and available money to spend than Joey, and even on some days more than Steve, but much of it is not reported income and the rest doesn't count because it comes from the .gov. Tommie is a parasite to society.

Tommie cries because he can't afford the shiney Mercedes that Mark drives in to work. Tommie's cries are heard by Barry, the liberal Congressman, who agrees that there is a maldistribution of income because Tommie can't afford the things Mark has. Barry raises a firestorm of backlash against Mark and his selfish ways.

Barry gets Congress to enact multiple new rules, policies, laws, regulations taxes, and controls to take more money from Mark and his company, Steve, and even Joey to "right an injustice". Joey is happy too because he is now getting money from the government. While his tax burden went up $2 - he gets a whole $1 from the government.

The new rules/policies/laws/regualtions/taxes/controls have made it imnpossible for Mark's company to make any money. Mark asks for government assistance but is told that he's just being too selfish and not wanting to share; the government refuses to help Mark. Mark's company goes out of business. Mark, Steve, and Joey and now all un-employed and don't have any income to pay taxes but Tommie is still raking is his "fair share" of the government's re-distributed wealth - until the government runs out of money.

COrrecting the "maldistribution of wealth" doesn't work!

"Too often, much of late, the last couple three years, the maldistribution of income in America is gone up way too much, the wealthy are getting way, way too wealthy and the middle income class is left behind," Baucus said after the Senate passed a "fix it" bill to make changes to the health care law.

"Wages have not kept up with increased income of the highest income in America," he said. "This legislation will have the effect of addressing that maldistribution of income in America."

Could this possibly have anything to do with the significant increase in government interference in industry over the "last couple three years" (plus)?

I hear people say we cant take any viloent actions against the internal enemies but this is my serious question this is a war between freedom loving people and the socialists who wish to take down the American Constitution, the socialists are winning right now, how can you win a war if you let the ememy live and prosper within our ranks?

We can't win without significant action because we (the American people) gave the country and all of the power over to them willingly.
