    Come on Stuart, stop holding out on me. Where does the crazy man with all the bike live? The reason I would like the do the build is just for fun really. I think it would be cool to ride around on something that I build from the ground up and I don't have any welding or soldering skills. The police auction seems like a very good idea and I think I'll start cruising the pawn shops and thrift stores soon, I was just hopeful there was a junkyard of some sort for this type of thing. I mean of all the places green and hippie, I figured they would want to reuse and recycle, haha. Next question, where do you find bamboo locally? I found a few sources on ebay.

    You would be surprised at how durrable it really is. In Asia they use bamboo to build scaffolding for their buildings. Here's a guy who made a bamboo mountain bike that he actually raced.
