I have a 9" blade in my car, but I have a custom sheath that looks like a very large dildo. I'm not worried about anyone stealing it. I've been trying to work out something similar for a Sigma. I'll probably just wrap it in a Subway bag or something. No one wants a rotten old sandwich that you find in a car.

I'd keep the Nagant behind the seat. No rust and out of site, unlike a shiny toolbox full of tools. If it gets beat up, throw it away and buy another one next year. The muzzle flash alone will back up a whole herd of zombies. If you run out of ammo, it would work great as a bat too.

That is very true about the bat issue and no one likes zombies. How much ammo is the question for a Nagant?

I've been wanting one of these for hand gun storage in my truck. As for what I'd carry for a rifle? Gotta be a levergun (mostly for jury defense, although Nagant fits that bill) or a for an affordable "tactical" solution a KEL-TEC sub 2000. Or a little more money and get one of their rifles.

That is awesome. I wonder if they make something like that for a rifle. It would be great if they had one that was slim enough to fit behind my back seat and fit an AR and a Chest Rig. although that would go agaisnt keeping it cheap incase my truck is stolen

The Nagant wouldn't be a bad choice. It would take the adrenaline for a zombie horde (or charging Germans) to not feel the kick. And the butt has a nice piece of steel for clubbing after the ammo runs out.

I like the idea of a truck gun, but being an insurance agent I've handled too many theft claims from cars to feel OK just leaving one there 24/7. If I was going to leave on it would be a Nagant or SKS.

You could also buy the cannon from the for sale forum and just tow it around with you everywhere you go.

I checked out truck vault and downloaded their catalog. They've got some neat truck bed containers that would come in useful hunting or being outdoors. Could carry a full blown black rifle

Totally true and I want one. But once you fill up the back of your truck with all those drawers you loose the rest of your room. There is this sling materiak that hangs off of the back seat and you can hang guns on that. think I will give that a shot.
