    Thanks!

I quit using locks on my guns after 2 bad encounters
    (1) I left me trigger lock keys at home after driving the 5 hours to hunting camp.
    (2) I had to drive 45 minutes back to a co-workers property to look for my trigger lock keys in his pasture after doing some shooting on his property (driving to his place feels like I'm driving to Kansas!). Turns out, the keys had fallen into the door pocket of my trucks passenger door. The whole trip was un-necessary.

+1. I've used one to cut the knob off a rifle bolt handle when I was installing a tac knob and it worked great. Just be patient with it and it'll go right through.

If it a cable like I'm thinking about, a pair of side cutting pliers will go through it like hot knife>butter..
