    Default What ever happened to...

    http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_14874104?source=rss

Whatever happened to just going out back, throwing a few punches, apologizing, helping the other guy up and buying each other a drink?....

I'm young and I feel old.

Chevy Blazer and a "low-rider"... can you guess what the altercation was most likely about?

Can't really say what happened in the story. But I'll tell you this; I never go unarmed anymore, unless I'm going to work (no choice).

I'm not supposed to carry at work either but I do. The sign specifically says "no open carry of deadly weapons, " etc... nothing about concealed. Even looked in the R&R's and nothing is listed about concealed.

BTW, Birddog, the painting on my stick probably won't happen soon. Had to spend quite a bit of money this weekend in teh ER... so I'll be in touch when I get more saved up.

Hell, that's why I rarely go out anymore.

And if I do go out, I stick to wealthy, upper-class areas.

I'm not wealthy or upper class, but atleast areas that cater to the higher-income seem to be a bit safer.

My generation is full of idiots with deep insecurities, something to prove, and and little to no moral ground to stand on.

They lack a value for human life, property, and the happiness of others, and honestly,

I'd just rather not even expose myself to that element.

I moved from a small town where this wasn't much of an issue. If there was a problem then we had a fist fight. Simple as that. Ive given some good ass kickings, and taken my fair share too. No one ever got killed or seriously injured. We didn't always get over whatever quarrel we had, but everyone walked away(Eventually at least)
Saying that certainly makes me feel much older than I am.
Assault is a type of behavior, not a type of hardware.

Maybe if friends are fighting you get up and help up the other guy. Kind sounds a little Hollywood. At least the fights I've seen, nobody was helping afterwards.

Everytime I've given out a butt kicking, I've offered my hand when the other cat cooled. Sometimes they take it, sometimes they spit and I just walk away. Don't think it sounds Hollywood at all. What sounds Hollywood to me is two punks pulling guns, cursing, etc....
