We had Direct TV installed a couple of moths ago. The guy was in 4 rooms and in and out of the garage and house for like 4 hours. He was never out of my sight. I followed him and watched him like a hawk the whole time he was here. At least 2 times he said "hey man, I'm good you can just go about your business I dont need any help". Yeah sure thing pal. That only made me stick to him closer. I got to much shit to have to worry about some punk stealing something from me.

Guys, you know what? The vast majority of tradesmen who you will ever have in your home are honest guys who would never even dream of stealing from you. Period.
You know what else? It took me as many years of apprenticeship to get my license as it did for you to go to school get your college degree. Damn right, I'm a blue collar guy, but I am not a second class citizen, criminal, pervert, or other garden variety freak.
Seriously, this kind of thing is why I absolutely detest service work.

Am nuts. Becasue my Brother brings home meth heads at all hours so I go crazy thinking about my shit. Trades folks are ok sometimes. needed the heater replaced and he had to go into the basement (my tin foil hat area), he just did his thing and left. My grandpa had a R. nurse come to the house a few times and she flipped the fuck out, I did not know she was coming and had two rifles on the bench and 12 mags and she called the cops after she left. cops come up to my dad and tells him he got a report about some"criminal activites" in our area and asked my dad if he knew about anything, dad "nope, check with my neighbors, I think there REDS"(obama sign in there yard).
just show them your biggest, nastiest, black rifle. And then proceed to let them know your half crazy. They'll be gladly on their way when their done. I trust the average working man, it's the creepy weird guys with laptops that scare me. Happy to live in the hills though. The people up here are way more crazy than the roughest part of Denver.
My car got towed and impounded once, I had one of those mobile dvd players in the backseat and swoosh it was gone
