In February 2009, President () Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. In early 2009, the Congressional Budget Office estimated that the Recovery Act's combined spending and tax provisions would cost $787 billion. In early 2010, CBO updated its estimate of the cost of the Recovery Act. It now estimates that the Recovery Act will cost $75 billion more than originally estimated - CBO now anticipates that the 2009 Stimulus will increase deficits by $862 billion over ten years.

Unless it was going to unemployment insurance it didn't help and I haven't seen any of it. But if unemployment was the goal of the stimulus package then it worked and worked great.

Barry O is just hoping this stimulus recovery BS will last at least until the next election when we will be further mesmerized by more of the same 'hope and change we can believe in'. No amount of stimulus will ever make up for the fact that competitive manufacturing capacity and ingenuity, two things that made this country the most prosperous in the world have now been largely outsourced to cheap labor overseas.. and replaced by an unstable, systemically non-viable service sector type economy. Which in turn helps explain why every 10 years or so we have an economic 'crisis'.

Yep. You're absolutly right. I've been preaching that gospel for years.
