Why do you say that? Do you have some experience there?

I go out to Lamar once a year for pheasant hunting and the town has shrunk a little since the bus plant closed a few years back. If you want to move there you better like wind and a flat landscape.

There is no large medical facility. The nearest large hospital is two hours away but there are a number of retirement centers in the area. Best BBQ I ever had was two miles north of Lamar.

I personally wouldn't want to live there but it may fit you well. Two years back I was hunting in Stonington which is an hour and a half south east of Lamar. The town of Stonington consists of three houses, a church and one corral. A guy in one of the three houses had just moved from Parker to get away. I would go stir crazy in such a place but he loved it.

Personally, I say go for it! If I didn't need to be at least sort of close to a city for work, I would have looked for a very remote property. You almost couldn't pay me enough to ever live in a city again. I don't know how guys in the Denver metro or Colo Spgs areas can stand it....

This is why you need to stay in Colorado and get more active in the process and help get true conservatives elected to office. My wife and I both work in politics and I'm moving back to Colorado this summer. Pushing the state back into the red is one of our main reasons for relocating, probably 3rd or 4th on the list of reasons.

People will let you hunt their properties. All the folks I met around Jon Martin and in Kim were great. There is a lot of good deer and turkey hunting down around Kim and the waterfowl hunting is great around Jon Martin.

Edit- I might add, that it would be better to stay and fight than to just leave. They will take over the whole damn country if eveyone just leaves their homes and tries to find a place without them.

Colorado Luckydog and OgenRwot- The idea of staying and fighting is one of the reasons I rethought my original plan to leave Colorado. The way it is now by living in Denver my vote is pretty much wasted. I am not sure of anything right now except I really, really want to get out of Denver.

    Thanks everyone for your replies.
