I always tend to catch grammar screw ups on tests.

I always seem to catch them in the books I read. Sadly, I catch a few in each book and it's been happening more and more often lately. It makes me wonder what they are paying the editors and proofreaders to actually do.

I read terrible books mostly, so I can just breeze right by a mix up or too. I like see it as an author being so passionate about writing terrible science fiction, he doesn't have time to worry about such worldly things as, spelling.

He puts himself into those situations for the entertainment as well to teach people some things. Some great survival info can be taken away from the show: what kind of plants are okay to eat, how to survive on animals, making fires, being prepared, being resourceful, how to stay warm, making shelters, setting traps, getting fresh water, picking good places to sleep/camp etc. etc.

If you are lost in the jungle you should NOT jump into a cave river and make your way through an underground waterway to find help like this bone head did.

If you do things like Bear does in a real survival situation you will die.
