I used to own a landscaping buisiness and since all of the 2 stroke tools seemed to need a different mix, I used a top quality synthetic 2 stroke oil and mixed it to the instructions on the bottle and used it for all of them. I found that it runs cleaner, doesn't foul the plugs and had 0 problems.
Also the bar oiler on some of them has an adjustment valve.

used motor oil in an extreme emergency, or one of those box stores poulans/craftsmans etc. for those of us that have the husky's, sthils, jonsreds. clean, out of container is what works best.
i've been using the sthil syn mix and that stuff like other syn mix also keepsp the mixed fuel longer than standard mix does.

I have used chainsaws in the past I just have never maintained them, hence why I was asking. I always wear protective gear.
