    Default .44 Magnum Accident

I debated where to post this: General Discussion, Ammunition Forum, or here. As you can see, the Handgun Forum won out.

I can't guarantee the info is correct, but the pics are compelling. This was sent to me from a DEA friend in MA and I thought you all might be interested:

Ouch!!! How would you like to have had your hands on that little screw
    up.

Looks like they loaded the .44 with a little more than +P.

A guy came into the PD the other day to ask a favor. He had a S&W 629 44 Mag.) that he wanted to dispose of after a mishap at the range. He said there was a loud bang when he tested his new ammo, (Chinese made), and the gun smacked him in the forehead, leaving a nice gash. When the tweety birds cleared, this is what he saw ... Bet he never uses Chinese made Ammo again!

    Fake.

Not the pictures, the Chinese ammo part. Someone posted this a while ago with a link to the actual thread. This was a brand new Smith and the gun exploded on the second shot fired. Turns out the chamber wasn't machined correctly and it was a cone shape. Make sure you pass on the correct information to everyone in the email list.

Thanks for the info. I was unable to find anything on this subject prior to making my original post to confirm or deny the given "facts".

I'll take them off your hands at the low price of wholesale minus 20% due to the risk of them exploding on contact in my hand.

HAHA, no Sir. They are staying with me. I've had to sell some stuff due to finances but I'm keeping the basics and I consider my Glocks part of the basics. I appreciate the offer though...

Besides, I wouldn't feel right selling you something that could be potentionally dangerous to your health... I mean, come on, like what type of guy would I be?! Totally wrong you know....

    hehe
