    Default ID this ATV

This guy is trying to trade me his ATV for my truck. I emailed his CL ad to a buddy that works in that industry and he told me it wasn't a yamaha.

I spent about 20 minutes trying to match the pics with any maker on the net and can't find it.

It could be a different model or maker? I dunno.

Waiting on a reply from the ATV owner.

looks more like a bombardier - which might be a yamaha under another name... like toyota/lexis.

here is the website: looks like it's now sold under the can-am brand?

BTW I flagged his ad since he is trying to sell the thing off as a yamaha.

    Thanks Sniper7

I was very suspicious and wasn't planning on dealing with him. He originally tried to convince me it was worth $8500...

Just posted here to figure out what the hell it was.

Craigs List is full of scammers anymore. We sold a car on there and had to deal with one scam artist after another.

the guy isn't a scammer IMO, he is just mis-guiding people. basically he is buying new ATVs and trying to turn them for a profit (not a bad idea but misleading people is where is he going wrong).
He probably bought several of them getting them for $5000-$5300 each and trying to sell/trade them for a good profit, but since he is listing them incorrectly I get annoyed so I flag him

I just bought a ATV off craigslist (2 actually) so i have been watching closely and this guy pops up quite a bit.

I bought two atv's (250's) off craigs list and one dirt bike for the family to go riding. Now the problem is finding good places to ride them. One of the atv's I also use for hunting.

Well I got a reply, he wants to meet this weekend. I'm very tempted to send him on a goose chase. See below

"It’s a Yamaha 700cc 4x4… I got this one and the 660 Grizzly straight from the Yamaha manufacturer and not through a dealer (thank God)….I got a buddy that works for them… This one they just call it a 700cc 4x4...It has all the same parts as the Grizzly just a different Body Style and Gauges thats all… You could take the Grizzly too if you want that one…it has 4 miles on it and cost me the exact same…Got them for 8499 each and saved about 1000 bucks an ATV going through my buddy (got every option)… They are brand new and are still burning the paint…

Could you come down to Denver with the Truck or meet in the Middle this Friday or Saturday? Say Brighton, highway 85 area?"
