Good shoot. Too bad it can't happen more often... not the cop getting pulled on, but rather teh cop being able to cleanse the gene pool a little. People should know their tolerances, if you can't handle your drink, don't drink so much. lol.

Not that the gun being fired at the cop on video was enough, there still needed to be a jury trial...rediculous!!!
Glad that a hole got what he deserved and glad the cop is okay
Looks like it turned out well. I do have a question though, is the officer right handed and using the flashlight in his right hand? It appears he has to drop the flashlight to get his weapon and fire... seems to be not such a good idea... ? just asking.
and I ask, because I'm around various law enforcement daily, yet most of them are always carrying their lunch, cell, coffee etc in their shooting hand. Sometimes something in each hand, enough to make me wonder if they realize how vulnerable they are...
I would also think most guys go through their career with nothing like this happening or they have a lot more time to react and potentially see a threat begin to arise giving them the time to make their weapon ready for a quick draw.
this guy said he thought something was funny, but didn't react to that notion and it did cost him reaction time, had the chamber had a live round in it, it would have cost him a lot more.
I'm also glad to see the officer made it out of this physically unscathed.
That scenario was nothing more than "Suicide by cop". Davis wanted to die that night!
