Default Re: Rude treatment at Centennial Gun Club

I've been in the shop quite a few times and have always been treated with dignity and respect. I don't think I ever spent more than $150 at any given time in that shop, but the folks who work there have been more than cordial towards me regardless.

The one time I was there I was appalled at the prices of EVERYTHING in there, and this was LONG before any kind of panic or buying frenzy. It was obvious that it was a brand-new high-end place with huge overhead and expenses, and they intended to recover that with retail sales ASAP. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's certainly not conducive to getting business from anybody that happens to know what price they can pay for any given item elsewhere, and that price is a helluva lot less.

And when I found out you have to "apply" for an "appointment" to use their range, and then wait for your "turn" to use your closely monitored allotted range time.....screw that. Ain't been back, no plans to. Which is a shame because they're maybe 8-10 minutes from my house. But I'm a member at Ben Lomond, and I'd much rather make the drive there where I can spend the whole day in a range all to myself, doing what I want, shooting what I want, however I want, bring a lunch if I want, or spend the day scrounging brass if I want.

I'm certainly not part of their "target demographic", to say the least.
There's a lot more of us ugly mf'ers out here than there are of you pretty people!

Can't argue with you there. But they do seem to get all the high demand ammo on a somewhat regular basis (at least when I make the trip North and stop in) and the prices are competitive considering the current climate.

Did you bring your proof of purchase in with you? Everyone there has treated me well. I bought three lowers from them and received my range passes with my lowers. Is there more to this story? Just sayin'.....

He just asked a reasonable question and you insulted him in return. If your going to post a complaint, it's fair for someone to ask a question so they understand and he did it in a respectful way while relating his experience there. Could be a bad place or a bad salesman.

You should still be in the return period? A $2K return is a pretty good way to make a point. I can say I bought a Ruger pistol for my wife from them when they opened up. I was not impressed. I had much of the same experience at the time and have not gone back. Humorously I did get the passes and have never used them.

BTW: KS63 was only asking a question. I don't read it as calling anybody anything. She(?) (we met once and I seem to remember KS being a girl, I could be getting mixed up though) had a good experience there and gave her input. No need to start going off if you want to garner support. There are many threads on here both good and bad on that place. It seems to majority lean towards bad though.

OK, I got'em mixed up. KS63 is full Bro'. It is hard to keep all the 'Handles' straight. My bad, falling on sword with red face palm to ensue. There were just some great people when we met and I got the names backwards. In my defense it was months ago, not weeks, .

I'm going to make an educated guess as to why the sales guy got pissy with you...
