Well, since a crossbow is considered in the same category as a rifle by DOW (for their purposes) anyways, ........ Who knows what Pete Shepley will think up next.

Disclaimer: I am not implying that crossbows are fireamrs and under the regulation of ATF. Only that they can not be used for Archery hunting seasons unless the appropriate disability exists.

On a side note, would a heavier crossbow bolt be considered a supressor? If the drawlength is less than 16", is it considered a SBC (Short Barrelled Crossbow)? Perhaps I shouldn't give ATF any ideas here....

I'm with coloccw here, unless you live in a state where crossbows can be used during archery season this thing is somewhat pointless (well other than being cool ... and lord knows many of us have bought stuff just 'cause its cool).

Now if we ever end up with some sort of vampire invasion, I'm thinking one of those and a quiver full of wooden bolts would be pretty awesome.

I have mixed feelings about an over the counter weapon into a background check item. OTOH it is way cool.

I'm not one to criticize cool. After all, I bought a repro attachment for an old pistol I have since it was it looked good. If you have an old Webley they're back in stock: http://www.ima-usa.com/product_info....oducts_id/2804
