The people that I was in a guild with on World of Warcraft had a large meet in Vegas. Kind of funny. I hadn't played the game in a few years and just happened to be in Vegas at the same time. I texted my old roommate telling him I was there and got a message back saying he was there also. So I got to meet a few of the guys I played on-line with years after I stopped playing.

I have a friend who is still making about $500 a month from selling his "product" in second life, even though he hasn't played in a few years. The game was the "new hot thing" when it came out, but that was like 10 years ago. I signed up and flew around it, but yeah I didn't care for it.

Check out Battlefield: Bad Company 2. If you have to spend a long Colorado winter inside, it sure gets the blood pumping. Also, I learn about guns, like this new Russian MBR http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOozMdEV_AU -- Check out the recoil compensation

The small amount of time I spend on the computer that isn't something like Excel or Word gets spent here, on Gunbroker, or I finally broke down and got a facebook account to find a couple old friends. That's it. I don't do games. I don't even play on the "family" Wii. I have enough crap I want to do for real I don't have the time or patience for virtual crap.

It all started with the TV....

We're pulling the plug on our TV in a couple of weeks. We are keeping internet because of school work. I must admit to blogging and FB my share. Having 21 years of military and shooting competitively, I have a lot of friends all over the world, and FB and blogging are the only way we all stay in contact.

None of them had been with a woman in many years though; right?!

I must admit some addiction to some games when computers became a household item. Now in my later years I find more satisfaction doing real life. Especially volunteer work for folks who are less fortunate than myself. I'm not blowing my own horn just saying that there are a lot of opportunities out there for spending worthwhile time helping than sitting in front of a monitor for hours living in gameland. JMHO
