That really stinks.. you can dog Hi-points all you want, but this is a niche they fill well.. a "truck gun" (or car gun).. leave it in there, keep the S/N recorded in case it's stolen.. but $150 is much less painful... if they never see you take it in/out, then there is no clue it's there, and who really plans to steal one? keep the pricey firearms in the safe, or within easy reach.. keep the cheap but reliable arms in harms way at all times... but easily accessible.

Nothing Wrong with HP other than ugly factor. Really hard to beat the warranty too.

I'd rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it.

plus a high point weighs too much for most thugs to steal. kinda hard to conceal a gun in sagged pants when it weighs 10 lbs unloaded

Leaving guns in my vehicles is something I just can't bring myself to do. I don't even like to do it when I'm entering a restricted area (post office, etc.). I've never had a breakin, but still.... I'm very careful about having them visible, like putting them in the truck for range trips, and I live in a very good neighborhood.

Ah, This Cowboy's Hat! I was thinking about the long haired hippy song by Charlie Daniels...about the hippy walking into the bar and asking for help or something like that.

Chris LeDoux, great old country artist...still hear him every now and again on the radio
