My daughter is a vet tech in an animal ER. Some people found a black fox kit about the end of March with its foot caught in a pipe. They brought it into the ER where they treated it and then turned it over to Wildlife. If I can figure out how I will post a pic.
The rock formation hosting their primary den is literally the size of an 18-wheeler, unsure how deep or long underground it goes but they have many entrance/exit points, on the sides, top and bottom. That hole does provide access but I've seen em' pop in and out all-over the place. It's like that whack-a-mole game, they move at lightning speed and enter/exit at what appears to be at least 20 or so points of egress.
I could sit there and watch these little shits fly-around for hours on end, great entertainment watching them play grab-ass together. BTW - Momma has "other" condos spread-out in my area, she lives well and seems to only hang around this main den when she has maternal responsibilities. Hell, she hangs out in my garage with me 1:1 and suns on my deck when the mood grabs her, very social critter.
These two pics show what I would call the main entrances, each located at the base of the outcropping.

really cool, kids loved it too. thanks
Hey...that's great and I'm glad the little one's liked the pics.
But...agghhhhh...now I need to watch my language when posting...I'm selfish and irresponsible (by choice) and I never thought about "tykes" looking-in.
Hopefully they are too young to read/interpret my poorly selected commentary<-- Me].
