A census taker left a note on my door that he stopped by, but I wasn't home. (really?) He said he would be back in the next few days or I could call him.
Anyone know or have any recommendations on a nice Chianti? I'll forego the fava beans.

Just dont let him see you holding any guns.
No kidding, or he will wait until he has decided he was scared, at the end of his work day of course, and call the police on you.
And if they start asking if we have guns we should say no, we don't believe in them and then try to convert them to another religion....it's a fun game and they will want to leave as soon as possible

they left one at my place while i was gone, today they met the dog that I have signs up for...
I don't know if they'll be back.
I filled out the paperwork for the Census when it arrived yet I still received a knock at the door from a worker asking me if I had any College students in the house. I have a NO SOLICITING sign clearly posted under my doorbell, yet she still rang.
I really can't fault most of the workers. Many of these people are out of work and are looking to get a few dollars. I had one knock on my door last night . I wouldn't let my wife answer the door alone. It was a gal asking about a neighbor down the street. He doesn't get home until 9:00 most week nights.
My next door neighbor is going to Census worker training today. For $13.00 an hour I don't think it is worth it to go into some areas when you know you aren't welcome.
