    Default what are your thoughts

ok so a few days ago i recieved a email from the armslist.com website about my ap9,
it was a 20yr old military guy asking if he could buy my gun if he was 20, i then ask you guys for advice on the matter and told him yes he could do a ftf but not ffl.
He then offers me 50 dollars more then im asking, im like sweet more money hahaha then i give him my number to text me when he gets back in to town.
he text me today saying he is the guy wanting to by my megastar and firestar, i tell him wrong guy i have the ap9, he says oh he got the emails mixed up but that he was just gona text me about my ap9.

ive seen the post on here for the firestar and mega star from su405, so i pm su405 and ask a question about it, turns out su405 is a little concerned aout the deal also,
why would a 20yr old want to buy 3 hand guns in 2 days and offer more then the owner is asking, maybe im putting to much thought into it but it seems weird,
when i ask if some one 21 and older can buy it from me to ease my concerns he says never mind.
what r your guys thoughts on it, or has anyone dealt with him and maybe hes just a collecter like most of us. thanks for reading.

You may not speak it, but you certainly type it quite well! I believe the proper term is that you are "well written".

Glock - Yeah, his little slip up was just enough to tip the scales completely OUT of his favor for me. Any time someone offers you more than your asking prices for something that you haven't indicated there is a lot of interest in I would be concerned.

Additionally, I'd bet this guy would have tried to pay with a check or money order. While I would almost always scream against this, a situation like this (even without knowing about hte other 2 guns) would have had me getting his info off of his Military ID AND his DL because something is fishy there.

I really should just read the whole damned thread before posting - I keep coming in with comments that somone else has already made or with concerns that have already been addressed.

    LOLOLO Check or money order?

Those crisp 20's didn't look like money orders to me.

Maybe I haven't seen a money order in a while.

Are they green with Jacksons picture on them?

    True story.

Im still texting him and he hasn't really said anything about you turning him down. Other than "I don't think he feels comfortable selling to me so I'm not buying it". I asked if he had anyone that could vouch for him. His reply. " I'm military just pcs'd back to colorado so havn't bought a firearm here yet".

Just like I told you in the pm convo we had. I'm torn and don't know if I should meet up with the guy or not.

I say.. a military ID would be sufficient. MANY MANY of my friends who are in their terminal leaves or just left the military have cash to spend on toys. Especially those who are singles and non career guys.

He's willing to drive down and meet at Bass Pro tomorrow at 5:00. Maybe we should just both go down there and check it out. Ask for the CO ID and Military ID as suggested.
