I can see the point of non-violent felonies ... certainly what Bernie Madoff did should be on the level of a felony.
HOWEVER, I don't believe one should PERMANENTLY lose a constitutional right for a non-violent felony.
And frankly I wouldn't mind if the law barring violent felons from possessing arms going away. If you can be trusted out of jail, you should be trusted with all your rights (and its not like the laws against felons possessing arms does a damn thing to stop violent felons ... no its just the guy that screwed up in his youth and wrote a bad check that is unable to defend his family 20 years later).
