    Looks good! Are you sure a sparky is qualified to run a paintbrush? I'm sure it would be an OSHA violation if they caught a plumber with a can of paint...

    I did something pretty similar for my mom and dad about 15 years ago. My mom has high quality oak cabinets which would cost a fortune to replace. She wanted a lighter color, so I dismounted all the doors and removed the old finish (circa 1964) with Zip-Strip. I then applied one of these whitewash stains and then I shot the doors with three coats of an automotive clear coat finish. I handpainted the frames. Turned out pretty good......

    Nice work there Marlin, I have brand new cabinets in our kitchen that are bare, staring me in the eye every day. They are on my wifes "short" honeydo list. Did you spray or brush?

    Brush,, Well I did spray the rest of the doors after I got the fancy cordless paint sprayer..

    It matched with the wood grain cabinets... but now that they are painted... in my eyes, it doesn't match! lol. But it's your house my friend.
