What these folks are trying to tell you is that it is considered appropriate (proper Forum etiquette) to first go into the "New Member Sign In" forum (http://www.co-ar15.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=97) and post an introduction thread before launching off with requests for info.

There's still time - hop on in there and start a new thread for yourself.

Just because you aren't a CO resident doesn't mean you can't be a member here though - especially since you are an AR fan already. OK ,here is the deal. I am out of state , but am coming out to see my son for his birthday. I plan on getting him an ar for the event. Checked into buying one here, but would be just about as cheap to buy there after shippig and the hastle. A couple of reasonal shops or contacts would be great. Looking for basic M-4, and he can build from there. Thanks in advance.

i know there is somthing in place maybe for just larger corporations! i work at dicks sporting goods and i work in the hunting department and i can only sell to Colorado residents and boarding states of Colorado everyone else i have to say no too. i am not sure if this is for every FFL in Colorado, but i know that is the rule where i work. we dont carry any M4's unfortunately, but lucky for you. when i was in Ohio at Camp perry only people who where Ohio residents or FFl holders could purchase serial firearms which killed me when you have RRA,armerlite,DMPS,bushmaster, basically every manufacturer there with sales and discounts like no other and i can't buy them! hopefully some other will shed some light on the subject.

edit places to go too:
+1 Jensen's arms in loveland they normally have a ton of stock very cool place lots of toys.

in boulder there is a gun shop off 14th and arapahoe called gun sport they normally have 2-6 Ar's depending. not a bad place only problem is boulder tax sucks!

5280 would be another choice closer to denver.

Thanks to all who responded. My son lives in Broomfield. I've taken care of the gun issue. I will try to post something on new member board and will pass along to my son. And I think I will pass on the adoption thing. The kids I have are expensive enough, and now there are grandkids.
