Default don't ever do business with shooter solutions

EVER. i spent 40 bucks for a parkerizing kit. emailed after a week because the status hadn't updated on the order and i needed it soon to parkerize a pistol for a friend before i leave town for 3 weeks. finally, after two weeks of placing the order, i send an email saying i need to have it cancelled so i can order one that will ship same day (parkerizingkits.com) and what do you know?! he emails me back after that one. basically his email just said he had a family emergency (which may be true although i have heard four people now say it takes 2-4 weeks to get anything and he never responds to emails) and then went on and on about his product is superior. ok whatever. i still need to cancel though because by this time i already ordered and received the other kit from the other site. so he calls me and says the whole reason was that the address i put doesn't match the card (except i use this card and this address for all online payments, haven't moved since getting the card, and get all my credit card mail to this address) and then said, and i qoute "well the problem is with other companies is their product just simply isn't as good as mine, if you don't care about the quality of a product then you aren't a very good customer". i couldn't believe it. blew me away.

so anyways, i wouldn't ever do business with them. supposedly they do make a good product, but with an attitude like that, after being as polite as possible even though i wanted two weeks to even hear back, is just uncalled for. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

looks like they have interesting problems with credit cards - according to their FAQ page.

    AllCredit Card orders

While the ordering page does not say so, the purpose of the billing address is not to send you a bill, but the verification address for the credit card chosen, including the shipping line on the correct line, as well as the correct verification zipcode as well. If Address especially comes up incorrect, even if the ACV code is correct, the order will not ship as-is, as it is possible for the credit/debit card to be stolen, and being used either fraudulently or even without consent of the credit card holder. In addition, if the Address is bad due to a typo, then the order would go to an incorrect address.
We apologize, but we did not write the code on the ordering page.
    Direct Payment

For direct payment, this option is included in addition to credit cards in the pull-down menu. The safest method of cash payment is by Postal Money Order to the contact information, made out to Shooter Solutions, and include a printout of the completed order page.
The order will be put on hold pending payment.

On-line sellers must ship the items purchased to the billing address of the credit card. Because if they don't, then they automatically lose any disputes. This has become common knowledge to thief's. After you have been burned a few times (seller), you learn. I don't know Shooter Solutions and I'm not defending them. But that policy is standard.

Some places are extra sensitive about the billing address being exactly right, too. I lived on Sand Pine Circle, but the credit card bills came to Sand Pine Cir. so that's how I had to enter it online for a lot of places or payment would be rejected.

i think you guys are missing the point. i have no problem whatsoever with them checking, verifying, and even denying my credit card if something didn't fit right. but A) ive never had a different address for my credit card and my credit card statements are sent here and B) did a credit card issue cause him to not reply for two weeks or call me a bad customer for wanting to use a different company? i think not.

also, if you check online youll find several other people that say it took 2-4 weeks to receive theirs. i have no problem with waiting when i am told up front, or when there is ample communication to let you know the progress. but when you email someone for weeks and never hear back and need an item pronto, it kinda sucks. then when you are polite and nice but simply tell them youll have to use someone else to make sure you get the product in time, you get insulted. im not really sure what any of that has to do with a credit card. had he told me a few days after, then no problem. i think its interesting he didn't get back to me until i talked about cancelling the order
