    My car isn't that new and it looks like nothing valuable is in there.

    Years ago I had a job where I had to do some fix up for a landlord and would often have 1000's of dollars of tools in my car. I kept a big bag of old McDonalds wrappers, cups and other crap. When I went into a bad neighborhood I'd scatter them all over my car. (Hint: Wash them all this stuff so it doesn't smell.) Nobody ever broke into my car.

    your car like your camper. tent, motorcycle etc is considered emminent domain. the same laws apply. i carry anywhere in the country, i also have a very good lawyer. However in states that do not recognize CO CCW and or don't afford their residents the lawful right to carry, it is very close by. I can reach it w/out any hinderance, same for the full mag that is not in it.
    I have travelled to both coast w/out any over reaction by law enforcement, once they notice my CCW permit, which is next to my DL that i have needed to produce for the occasional excessive limits of speed.
