    I throw it in the glove box and lock the box. I know that isn't any real protection, but most times I've had to leave a gun behind, the car is some where busy where someone doing a snatch and grab isn't going to have the time to crow bar my dash apart.

    Well, that's what I tell myself anyway.

    My car isn't that new and it looks like nothing valuable is in there.

    Years ago I had a job where I had to do some fix up for a landlord and would often have 1000's of dollars of tools in my car. I kept a big bag of old McDonalds wrappers, cups and other crap. When I went into a bad neighborhood I'd scatter them all over my car. (Hint: Wash them all this stuff so it doesn't smell.) Nobody ever broke into my car.
