other wildcats based on 223

just thinking about what my next purchase will be and was reading a little about 300 whisper. it got me thinking about what other wildcats may be out there based on the 223. if i remember right there is a 7mm or 270 wildcat? what about 243? or 257?

Sure, there are a bunch of wildcats based off the 223 case... or close to it.

But the 300 Whisper is not based on the 223. It is based on the 221 Fireball. It is a shorter case than the 223. SSK Industried patented the Whisper trademark and many others have built the same cartridge under differrent names like 300/221 Fireball, 300 Fireball etc.

There's pistol ammo that the .223 case can be used for like 9x23 also I'm sure a guy could blow out the case shorten it and basicly have a rimless .357 mag (is that the .357 auto mag?) Imagine blowing out the case straight and having a .357 insano mag haha (basicly 9x43) that would be a thumper.

On a side note I've though about blowing out a 7.62x39 and cutting it down, might work for a rimless .44 mag
