seriously, it isn't racist, its fact.
if there were a huge number of euro-trash illegally invading the US... it would be the white guys being targeted. But it isnt... its Hispanics/Mexicans/latinos whatever you want to call them.
and yes... my wife doe get asked from time to time for her green-card(she looks somewhat hispanic)... and I politely tell her, "you came here legally, but you aren't a citizen yet, and we have an immigration problem."
I don't consider it racial profiling... I call it logic...
"You look Hispanic in a border area, I don't know you, you don't speak English and there are alot of you crammed into the back of a Buick. may I see your ID?"
