    Default Sighting in an AK.

    Howdy all,
I can vaguely remember from a long long time ago in a land far far away during my Army Daze, That when using the 25 meter military sighting in target. That the M-16 POI was in the circle 2 squares ( centimeters ? ) below the black rectangle POA area. Does anyone know the POI in reference to the POA using the same target and same distance when sighting in an AK using stock iron sights ?

I just sighted mine in at 25yds poa-poi. Left it alone after that. I've been good to go since. I don't use my AK for more than 100yds anyway.

Yeah, as long as it within minute of "yankee, capitalist dog" You should be good..

Depending on how well I'm shooting that day, I can be 3-4" to 6-7" groups. For the most part they are all in the "That looks like it hurts" zone.

to zero the Ak-47 put the rear sight on the 100 meter setting then zero it at 25 yards so that the point of aim is equal to your point of impact. Then check at that you are on at a 50 and 100 (this allows for slight left right tweeks). Then move the sight back all the way to "battle sight zero" if you do this you should be able to engage a man size target and obtain center of mass hits out to 200 meters without adjusting the sights. For distances greater than 200M you will need to adjust the sight and remeber your sights are in meters not yards.
