Default Colt or Daniel Defense AR?

I'm considering another AR-15 rifle, and the decision has come down to either a Colt, or a Daniel Defense.

Which of the two would you choose, and why?

DD makes top notch tools. Colts tend to hold value better. I would buy 2 colts with consecutive serial #'s and then begin to accessorize. Then buy a DD. If the world was only a perfect place. Me, a colt. my .02

    DD

i don't drink the Coltaid. over priced and over rated. My AR's do what a colt does for 1/2 the cost, except my SBR.
    YMMV

I also agree with Jim. Depends on the funding. I tend to look at it as a investment.

In case you haven't been able to read between the lines, that's a great price for the Colt - get it or let the rest of us know where we can get that deal so that we can crawl over each other to get it!

Well, I opted to rebuild an old rifle with a slightly different upper, so I'll be going with neither one. As to where to get that deal...Gander Mountain in Thornton has Colt AR-15s, 16", for $850, and as of when I called last night, plenty of them in stock.
