Doesn't seem like they're being manufactured yet. Those particular rifles.

Robinson is offering AR like guns in a couple calibers, with interchangeable barrels.

    Could be, Could be..

So a few things I don't get after looking at the FD308

    1. Why is the safety selector positioned differently that an typical AR? Or am I just seeing something odd in the computer generated image

    2. For $3565.95 is a seriously ghey ass price by the way, WTF is wrong with round numbers?

    3. You better throw something better than MBUIS sights on there.

    4. Not to mention a pretty weak ass rail system. There are tons of COTS rail systems that could be leveraged and made available as options to expand the buyers options and choices.

    5. And this is better than the LWRC because?

    6. What about something slick like quick barrel changes?

A few other concerns center on the fact that the weapon is Vapor Wear. It has zero actual field tests. The price is way over board in a market that is already full of other proven .308 systems.

The .338 is interesting, but that's about all. If I'm going after that large of a caliber, I'm not going to degrade it by using the AR platform for it when there are literally dozens of bolt guns out there that will always out perform this nifty little toy.

bah, ya know, if these guys could bring a proven platform to market for less than $2500 or so, they'd give some of the big name folks a run for their money. But I just can't see this as a viable venture short of being a small production, near custom type deal.

If they really want to step it up, they'd better unscrew their Online presence. If I can't google them and have them show up #1 when I search for FD308, then they are doomed... doomed to a watery grave!

Just my never really humble opinion

Something is a bit off on the rifle, website and the company.

I would be hesitant to pay that much for something very much unproven

For that much I would go with a Barrett. 5500 is pricey for a .338

Hell that is 2 ar-15's and a ton of ammo.
