that airport is creepy as hell.
Has anyone else seen the murals on the walls in the main entrance?

Don't be one of those guys. I was just reading a thread I found when Googling for the nick name and all kinds of people are afraid of DIA. Yes seen the murals, aware of the pattern of the runways. All a bunch of crap.
"There are no finger prints under water."
If you look at the airport from above in google maps the arrangement of the runways kinda sorta looks like a swastika.
The murals thing is long and involved, but basically the kind of people who interpret symbols and believe that vast, world wide conspiracies leave pictorial clues laying about for a laugh think that the murals tell a sinister story.
Add to that the keystone in the airport that references the 'one world airport commission' or similar, and the usual stories about workers on site seeing vast underground storage facilities and you have a New World Order conspiracy theorist's dream.

Interesting.... Stupid (IMHO), but interesting. Any pics of the said murals, etc? I saw the google maps thing. I don't really want to make a trip to Denver...
The Masonic New World Order lizard-aliens living in the tunnels under DIA don't approve of your question!!
A plan is just a list of things that don't happen.

Oh, and as a former Brit, it is comforting to learn that the queen is buying up huge swathes of Colorado to re-establish her dominion over the provinces come 2012.
Although I'm not going to renew my passport once it expires, it doesn't expire until 2013, so I look forward to strutting around Colorado Springs in my bowler hat giving all you colonials what-for![]()

I wasn't aware of conspiracy theories. I just always found the murals creepy.
I see nothing wrong with the statue...they said it will be up for the art/history museum, so I imagine it would be taken down after that.
as for the blue mustang, the thing is beyond fugly and needs to be removed.
as for the murals on the wall, I am always amazed every time I walk by them, I really want to get a picture of them on my find, they are pretty interesting looking.
As for the runways, DEN is one of the best built, largest by acreage and most useful airports. although the taxi can be pretty long, they have all the runways they need to make the airport extremely efficient no matter what the winds are, I don't think a swastika is what they had in mind when they designed it.
I had to go check out the murals for an art class once. It is just art. I took some pictures of the murals again a few years later when the conspiracy theory thread popped up on my local import car forum. I like the pictures.
The run ways are just the most efficient use of a square. Leave it to people who ignore facts and logic to over look that and call it a Swastika. Wear out the paint in the right places and your children will be playing Four Square on a Swastika.
*Does anyone even know what Four Square is any more?
