We have one TV in the house and we mostly watch Netflix offerings through the Roku.
I watched Weeds all of the way through and now wish I could have my time returned to me. While there were bits and pieces of the story that were interesting, the story arch was improbable and seemed immature. I started watching Orange is the New Black and after three episodes I had the strange feeling that I was watching a similar spin from a different angle on the lives of white, female, drug dealers. It took me a few seconds on Google to realize that both shows were produced and written by Jenji Kohan. Born and raised in Beverly Hills and educated at Columbia University, here is a short piece that provides a little insight into Kohan - http://www.jewishjournal.com/hollywo...he_stereotypes
Unlike Weeds, I don't think I will finish Orange... Perhaps I'm all tapped out on the paradoxical, supposedly middle class, drug lord. IMO, Breaking Bad is better written, better development of characters, and more complexity to the plot. Just my $.02, and worth exactly what you paid for it.
