The Sherlock movie was great. The books are FAR better though. True classics.

I saw Green Zone today. I'd like to hear from the military people (and people in general) about it. Did it make you angry? Seemed kind of like a liberal media circle jerk movie; I still liked it though.

It was alright, I suppose. But Matt Damon is Jason Bourne so I just kept seeing Jason Bourne. Liberal media circle jerk? I don't know. Obviously the media is controlled by liberal corporations and there's only one plucky minority channel that's hardly watched by anyone and hardly has any influence telling the TRUTH but hasn't the post-invasion handling of Iraq been a bit of a clusterfuck by most standards? I saw it in the cinema so it's been a while, maybe I'm not remembering the preachy bits that you noticed.
I watched Unthinkable last night. Pretty thought provoking movie if you're not a 'rah-rah torture is cool' kind of person. There was one point where the movie was almost ruined completely but they managed to reel it back for a pretty chilling finale. Michael Sheen is a great actor, Samuel L Jackson hasn't been any good for years - casting him detracted from the story in my opinion.

Well it all depends on what people thought of the WMD situation I guess. I wasn't there and don't really know what went on. I was thinking of a way to better explain what I mean, but I can't verbalize it right now. I wasn't saying that the movie was preachy, just that it suggested that the WMD intelligence was fabricated. Of course there was all kinds of talk about that in the news and on the net, but there is also lots of talk about whether or not the US government knew about 9/11 before it happened. It might have been lazy of me, but I kind of tossed both those conversations into the same box and stopped thinking about them. I'm still not sure if I'm being very clear.

here's an interesting write up on Inception.
don't click until after you've seen the film, as it contains spoilers.

and here's something else, highlight below for spoilers:
I've read online that at the end of the credits, you can hear the sound of the top falling over.
I watched Unthinkable recently as well and found it to be quite repetitive. Guy does what she doesn't like, "Don't worry about it just do your job", guy does something she doesn't like, "Don't worry just do your job", etc, etc.
lol inception ripped off scrooge mcduck

I'm watching The Ghost and Mr. Chicken. It is a 1966 film with Don Knotts. We had it on VHS (or Beta) up at my family cabin and watched it as kids. Thought I'd check it out as an adult.
