Have we already discussed how awesome the first Ong Bak, Thai Warrior movie was? If not, we should. The second one was visually great in my opinion, although it didn't follow the first one at all. I haven't seen the third one because it looks like they took all the deleted scenes from Ong Bak 2 and made Ong Bak 3 out of them.

I like the one with the continuous shot where he fights his way to the top floor of the building, that was pretty cool.

oh, wasn't ong bak... the protector.

I thought The Protector was lame. However, there is a similar, and much more cool scene in Ong Bak 2. In The Protector, he was fighting a bunch of queers on roller skates, I could fight my way out of a mall like that too. In Ong Bak 2, he is fighting fighter after fighter in the same manner.

well, tony jaa is awesome all the way around I think.

got into a discussion with my pops about book of eli

    highlight below for spoilers.

so he finally watched it and I mentioned to him that I had talked to folks who didn't get the plot twist.

    he replied "what plot twist?"

I told him that dezel was blind, and he was surprised. he missed it too. told him that throughout the movie there are clues that show he's blind, like smelling the bandits, kicking steps and only shooting after someone gave away their position by shooting first.

so he says to me today that he rewatched it and he doesn't believe he was blind, says there's no way.

I asked him if he wasn't blind why'd he have to dictate the bible, why not just write it down? hehe he didn't have an answer to that one.

Too funny. I actually read that little twist here before I watched it (accidentally). If not, I probably would've had to watch it again to catch all those little things he did. <-----Trying to be vague.

I loved The Protector. The part where he kills all those dudes was awesome. Cheesy, but cool. And that part in Ong Bak 2 is rad.

Pretty crazy that Tony Jaa just up and became a monk...

I had a couple of people tell me they really liked the new Tron, but maybe I'll just wait till it comes out on dvd.

I just watched Tora Tora Tora again, pretty high on my war movie favorites list.

I had no idea Tony Jaa became a monk. Maybe Anderson Silva called him out and he's avoiding him by hiding in a monastery.

Has anyone seen Fiend of the Overlord? Someone was telling me about it today.

Yeah, that sounds like it. Start out with Nazis doing research to create a super human or something?
