Finally watched "Prometheus" (Aliens prequel). Special effects were cool, opening scenery (filmed in Scotland and Iceland) was spectacular.

Overall, it sucked. Who sends a bunch of undisciplined knuckleheads into space, with weapons? Who writes this crap?

Or activates an alien computer/space shit by pushing on squishy balls things and playing a damn flute!!!! That shit is right out of Willy Wonka.
Some of the special effects were cool, and somewhat of a cool story, but damn the acting and the rest of it was hella lame.!

    Watched this last night:

Jack Tar and the British walls of oak kept Boney off the island. Mutiny at Spithead and Sir Alec Guinness. What's not to like about that?

I usually wait for the video to hit Redbox. Last night was Fury: 4 of 5 stars, I liked it overall.
Tonight was John Wick: About what I expected, much violence. I will give it a 3 out of 5.

    I saw both recently.
Fury: loved it. Reminded me of of my grandfather.

John Wick: Kick ass action movie. Every time Keanou (sp?) spoke I cringed though.

Not a bad movie for Korean, and it's on netflix also.

The Lazarus Effect. Here is how this movie came about.

Guy 1: We should reboot Pet Cemetery.
Guy 2: Yeah, only let's update it and call it Pet Laboratory.
Guy 1: That would be too obvious. We need a modern reboot of an old movie, with an ancient sounding title.
Guy 2: [Performs Google search of Latin words related to death] How about The Lazarus Effect?

Just finished watching "Zero-dark 30". I'm in lust with Jessica Chastain. I'm not sure how realistic some of the action was, though it was entertaining.

my 13yr old son wanted to se The Kingsmen so my wife and i saw it to preview it for him and to see where the R rating comes from.

dont let your kids see it. the commercial teasers make it looke like it's geared for a young audience but it's extremely adult.
